Can’t see any work permit issues. Much easier these days. The lad is a full Brazil international, plenty of young South American players get in with far less under their belts. One example being Alcaraz when he moved very young to Southampton.I don’t think Wesley would get a work permit for the UK, but he would get one for Italy. If he goes to Italy for a season, he will have a better chance of getting a uk work permit next season.
We have seen before that we get linked with players when they are valued around £25m to £30m, we don’t sign them and they do a year at a top level club and are the valued at £55m to £60m. I think this is an investment long term.
