Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

So because of this TFG are using Everton Football club to buy players for Roma?
Who knows. It just seems a weird deal to be done if true based on the rumours that have been posted. Like I’ve posted before it just seems daft that Romas manager has wanted him since he was at Atalanta and if the deal goes ahead like stated he would be happy turning him back over to us after a years loan?

There will be some financial angle to it mate.

But people see and read everything in 200+ characters and no one really knows the half of it.

PSR aside, if this has any truth to it, or if this trend becomes a reality, then what difference are these guys to Mosh?

We complained that Mosh interfered too much and now there are rumours that we’re having to take Roma off casts to make way for their shiny new long term prospect (that we’re also paying for).

I wonder if Celik was high on our list of targets?

Wesley is a very good player. So it’s good he’s linked with us. Can’t really see how this story could ever be true though. We are the iconic club in their ownership group now, not Roma. Any diddles would work the other way round.

Not we are not. We are equal. They have made that clear numerous times.

The arrogance to think we are more important than an iconic club in the Italian capital is laughable.

One day perhaps but we are far from that yet.

I actually like the multi club model. In a world where Chelsea stock pile players and the league try to shaft us over PSR we have to find an edge. This is it.

Sure there will be a moment when we appear to benefit more than Roma. But in this instance it looks like they get the more promising player.

But look, the Turkish RB is decent and a different option to O-Brien, and miles better than Patterson and Coleman.

Celik is pretty nondescript / average which sometimes has be to fair enough if you're on a budget and need 8-10 players. If you were looking for experience and adding squad options then he ticks those boxes. Not great, not bad.
Weren't we supposedly in for him before when he played in France ?
