I think the crux of how this would work and how it benefits both teams is by having Zeki Çelik come the other way. He's in the last year of his contract, and Everton have a small squad. Çelik is a consolation for Kenny Tete, who I wasn't thrilled about anyway, and it would clear him from Roma's roster to make room for Wesley. The Friedkins kill two birds with one stone without Everton taking a PSR hit, if the deals are structured correctly. If that’s the case why don’t Roma just buy him as opposed to paying a loan fee, it would be 4 mill a year anyway in amortisation, every year. Therefore they won’t be paying an equivalent loan fee to a year ammortisation.
Everton making a profit on him next year from Roma just means TFG loose money. If the cost to them now is 20mill and the cost next year is 22mill - why would they charge themselves 2 million - they wouldn’t and won’t.
