Would get this in a position that we didnt need but dont see why that would help him more than being here. Also this Roma coach Gasperini has Wesley as one of his priorities in this transfer window. Makes me question his long term future at everton if we did.

Makes sense if we got Celik from them though. We get an experienced RB on loan, they develop Wesley in a slightly easier league.

Anyone reading literally anything into weird multi-club shenanigans at first glance needs to go to bed.

There will probably be loads of odd deals and such in the future that won't make sense until maybe even a year after. I am unbelievably not arsed which financial levers they pull to make both clubs better off. We wanted owners who know how to play the game - this is game playing.

I'm not saying they're good at it, god knows, but this is what game playing looks like so we may as well get used to it and not throw a fit any time something doesn't make sense.
