To be fair Charly can break a line with a pass and McNeill can get a cross in - but im not sure both would be planned to walk straight into our starting 11 come August.

Illy for all his ball carrying and goal scoring brilliance doesn't assist or create much for others.

Charly's work at Palace and Garners through balls v Leicester, anyone we can get consistently doing that kind of thing regulary and both Barry & Beto will fly.

Not looked at the stats for Kanchelskis but sure he didn't create much with being a very direct wing wizard. Illy reminds of him a lot, even though we are talking different levels. If you only saw Illy for a few 2nds you really would expect he'd set a few up though like you said.

He did used to get to bye line and whip crosses in though. Remember Dunc and Speed coring from his crosses.

He has a cross and assist in him mate - it’s whether it would translate to the PL and would he be a step up from Dwight. We could also do with someone who could turn the afterburners on and bring a bit of pace to the side.

Try my best here, helps sometimes to be less biased on Everton, it's an obstacle on other occasions.

I grew up and live 30km from Bilbao, Spain. But been in Madrid since Monday.

Currently, Everton moves into the right direction again, in small steps but they do.

We need more though, you can't just rely on pinging crosses into the box, its simply too easy to play against (Fellows strength is pinging crosses into the box) We seem to still want to do this as a club yet most others stopped this style years ago. If we are looking to push for Europe (like Moyes says) then we will need to be able to mix it up a bit against various opponents.
