Just for those who seem to think (madly) that she is innocent, the police are about to charge her with more murders.

well strictly speaking, it has been proved beyond reasonable doubt that (although the instructions from trial judges are 'so that you are sure of their guilt' these days) as 12 people who heard ALL of the evidence returned that they were sure. it only needed 3 of those not to be sure for it to be a not guilty verdict. It's not a question of, necessarily, believing that she is innocent but that it has not been proven (beyond reasonable doubt) that she is guilty. The evidence against her is circumstantial at best and the statistical analyses presented to juries were fundamentally flawed.
If those responsible for this pit they have led folks into wish to keep digging, so be it.
Two sugars, please. You green fiend, you ...
Maybe you are right. No doubt, though, at one time very similar viewpoints prevailed in the cases against Post Office victims.well strictly speaking, it has been proved beyond reasonable doubt that (although the instructions from trial judges are 'so that you are sure of their guilt' these days) as 12 people who heard ALL of the evidence returned that they were sure. it only needed 3 of those not to be sure for it to be a not guilty verdict.
Statistical analysis will only have formed part of the trial, who knows whether this was a fundamental err, but the two appeals she has lost suggests they may not have been that crucial. I have no strong view either way as I dint hear all the evidence.
Yes, and there's a lot of details that came forward post-sentencing that undermines further the opposition's case.Perhaps more accurate to say that they (must) know that they cannot be sure that she did it?
Don’t think anyone is saying she is totally innocent, there have definitely been problems with her, but there is much more to this whole sorry incident that needs to come into the light, and the nhs, police and cps need to be held to the flames and be accountable.Just for those who seem to think (madly) that she is innocent, the police are about to charge her with more murders.

It appears they are considering further charges, not necessarily against her. I've a feeling that heads will roll in management.Just for those who seem to think (madly) that she is innocent, the police are about to charge her with more murders.

Of course it is, Rumpole.Yes, and there's a lot of details that came forward post-sentencing that undermines further the opposition's case.
It's unsafe and should be overturned. Vested interests though are all too willing to see her rot in prison for the remainder of her life.
I don't think it's so much people saying she's innocent. It's more that there's a feeling her conviction may have covered up failings and potential criminal culpability of others.Just for those who seem to think (madly) that she is innocent, the police are about to charge her with more murders.

Would those who recently got charged with gross negligence manslaughter have been charged if she was found guilty and everybody just moved on?

It's exactly this. Be it Letby* or through wider negligence and malpractice, there appears to be sufficient evidence to argue that there was a problem...Yet, the investigations into more deaths and incidents at both the Countess of Chester and the Women goes on
These arrests are as a result of them failing to stop her and looking the other way to protect their own careers, when presented with evidence of what she was up to, not the other way around.
But yet again and as always, you already know this.
I'd say you could use either; you'd probably not use both. You could use both.
