Confirmed Signing Thierno Barry

The Dario AS deal sounds decent if it's accurate. Release clause was roughly £34 million.

Sounds like we've potentially got him for 27.5 + 5 add ons.

Probably 10 million down payment, rest over the lifetime of a 4/5 year contract (so roughly 4-5 a season)

Leaves plenty in the pot for a couple of wingers and a centre mid (I'd guesstimate we're gonna make down payments of about 60 million this transfer window)

Sounds like the fee will be somewhere around 32m - 33m, if reports are correct. That's a lot of money for us, especially in recent years. But it's not a huge fee if we believe the player is our long term centre forward. I don't know much about the player, but if we are convinced he is the right player, then hopefully we get the deal done soon. Pre-season is important, especially for new signings.
Thats euros isn't it . So about 27 million pounds

Think Beto will start as the recognised starter and he deserves to as well. Watched the extended highlights of the win at Newcastle again the other day and while he didn’t score, he was absolutely superb. He’s proven he can slot as well, double figures when you’ve only been given a chance since January is good going. Barry will put pressure on him which is a good thing, and wait for his opportunity. I think we look well placed up front with these two, need to focus on wingers and central midfield after Barry for me. And right back of course.
He didn’t get double figures. Im hoping he’s not our main striker next season, he’s not good enough

….bit disappointing getting up to read he’s looking out of his window in the direction of the Caribbean rather than the Mersey. Some well meaning detective work but the Air France flight he caught was actually taking him further away.

Still, at least no rumours at this point suggesting the transfer isn’t going to happen.
Medical done if personal terms have been agreed, it's down to the clubs to sort out transfer fee payment structure now.

The lad needs a holiday after a long season.

We need to be constantly signing new talent from now on and aim to improve whenever possible and get numbers through the door to have quality in depth.

…in respect of central strikers, I think it immediately makes us stronger than last season. With Chermiti likely going on loan, it’s just a case of whether 2 will be enough, Sherif might be seen as 3rd striker.
I’ve admittedly not seen much of Sherif, but what I have… I don’t think he’s anywhere near ready. My third choice would be Ndiaye up top with McNeil slotting in on the left

8 in what equates to just under 17 games in terms of his minutes played isn’t bad, if you deem that as not good enough I fear you’ll never find what you’re looking for, do the math on that it’s one goal a game pretty much 😂😂
