The effect he has with the players in the dressing room and on the pitch is worth the contract extension alone, not forgetting the fact that he will also play some games throughout the season when needed. He will also be really important with the transition over to the new stadium and as an experienced voice for Moyes to converse with.

It's a no brainer and worth every penny.
