Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven


Evening everyone, a few degrees cooler today, still hot but not as brutal as yesterday. Daughter rang to say that there had been a devastating house fire near her. The house is just a shell, the occupants have lost everything. It was started by a solar light. I knew about electric bike/scooter batteries but I had no idea that solar lights could be dangerous.
Hope the babysitting is going well and you are having lots of cuddles @anjelikaferrett .
@Val P The charity farm sounds like a great day out, grandchildren are great excuse to do things and go places that you like.
@Pilks good to hear from you and pleased that you are getting a car which will enable you to get out and about more. It’s only natural that your thoughts and emotions are all over the place, please continue to share don’t bottle it up.

Good morning all on this fine day ,we are getting hot but not scorching weather high 20's .I hope all are well and had a good night ,I see @peteblue has got back into the rhythm after a sleep in .
Our shower room is a wet room and we have foamy type mats to stop slipping on the tiles , I have been cleaning them for two days on my last hourly wage I could have bought them many times over .

Morning all. Looks like another day of waiting for my PC, 14 days today. I wish I could cancel it and go somewhere different now but too late for that. It's the lack of updates or anything, I'm literally sat waiting all day and I hate waiting around, I'm not patient lol.

It never got hot here yesterday, it stayed overcast and even some rain. It's overcast again this morning so we'll see how the heat goes.

I would think about contacting them mate, it’s annoying to do and not something I am good at but the lack of updates is a bit concerning for you. They should be giving you a better service than this . Good luck, hope you can get some news on your PC.

Well if today is 14 days and it's coming 5-11working days, there's been 2 weekends, so 4 days, so minus 4 days is 10 days, so if it isn't here tomorrow then I shall start the process.

Yep , the Kings Garden party and the whole day went very well thanks . It was nice meeting up with fellow volunteers who’d been invited and having a chat . As we were leaving, we were asked for help by an older couple as he was having trouble walking . It turned out they lived 5 minutes walk from us , amazing really. We spent the next two hours helping them get back to their hotel, he had spent 30 years in the Met, spoke to every policeman , every American and well just about everybody as we made our way up the Royal Mile ! Quite an adventure with lots of stories, too long for here !

The joy of being a pensioner is to me that you have time to talk to everyone . Super day for you and your neighbours .
