New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I’m no retractable tunnel expert, so ignoring the quality of it, if we have to have a tunnel gazebo, presumably to stop £15 Singapore chicken rice bowls being thrown at players, why does it need to be retractable??

I mean, if when the pitch is in use the tunnel needs to be out to deter attempted headlocks, when does it need to be not out? Why can’t it be permanent? Are we employing a couple of highly coordinated and strong people to wait until the last person leaves the stadium, and then wrestle that contraption back onto its bracket?

Sightlines down the pitch from the first few rows either side maybe?

My only criticism would be that the tower is slightly right of centre on it. 😂

Apparently we had one back in 2021, during the derby.
