He actually bought a pub local enough the last couple of years - I’ve drunk in down through the years.
You never know were he’d turn up locally, he was playing Sunday league in Dublin a month or so ago for a local team. You don’t even notice him, It’s like “oh yeah there’s Connor McGregor”.
My memory was stirred by stumbling across those Sky Sports Premier League reviews for last season. He looked so good scoring from a Lamptey cross against West Ham, I think, that I got quite misty eyed. I am just hoping he gets back to that while he is still with us as I am sure everyone else...

Their musings on Ferguson have a very Dele Alli feel to them with the talent clear but the concerns over him physically and mentally dominating the narrative. Our attempts to manage Dele through the twin hells of recurring injuries and depression were laudable but they also cost us a fortune and tied up support staff resources. I’d be extremely wary of repeating that experience with Ferguson, despite the lure of his ‘upside’.
It's just like they have a premium for their players, when you look over the years at the players they've sold, you could count the successes of these players at their next clubs on one hand. Some examples, first yours above Jordan Ibe , Fowler to Leeds, nearly killed Leeds with his wages and fees, got no value for the money at all. Torres cost Chelsea £50m fell apart and hardly scored a goal, Coutinho sold for, I don't know that fee is still rising, North of £150m, Solanke hardly played but made 19m profit to Bournemouth I think. Even Rush at the height of his powers went to Juventus is and couldn't score a goal. When they sell someone it's for a good reason.
When Bournemouth bought ibe they bought a left back of them at the same time , think he was Australian, Brad someone I think, had hardly kicked a ball for the first team and they got 6mil. How much did we get for Robinson at probably a similar time.
28mil for Brewster because he had scored a few goals for England in a youth tournament. A lot of comes from media they totally talked Brewster up like he was a superstar in waiting and clubs fall for it and it’s now happening with Elliot
Believe so mate. Suppose Seamus and Jake could give us an idea as to his character and whether he’d be worth the risk. Barely got a sniff at West Ham even under Potter which is a big concern. Could see his career falling off massively if he doesn’t get the next move right.
to be fair he had Kudus and Bowen in his way who are both top quality
there's also talk that Potter didnt want to play him as no option to buy. once they werent going to be relegated he didnt really bother playing him as didnt want to develop a Brighton player
i revckon he'd come good here under Moyes. I'd be more excited by Ferguson than Barry. his ceiling is huge, lost his way a bit but only 20
Got a feeling he's waiting for Spurs. I read something about them needing more locally trained players for their Champions League squad. Can't blame the lad if he does, easy money for him.
