I can but it's still in the 5-11 working day range, so i'll have to just wait, should be here the next couple of days with any luck or then I will start chasing.

Just had our walk before it gets hot, it's overcast and mild so wasn't too bad for daisy, she's still flopping onto her back anywhere she pleases and makes me look like a tit and as you know I don't like attention lol little bloody monkey.

There was a bit of a kick off last night between 2 neighbours, I'm guessing it was about her dog, as my direct neighbour either got or is looking after a staffie dog, doesn't seem friendly and the very first night she had it, it escaped across the road straight into a house and attacked the dog there by grabbing it by the throat. I think they were demanding vets bill money. She's lucky it wasn't Daisy or...well it wouldn't be good.

What was the thing about Marvin Gaye all about @jazzy - I love his music especially his I want you LP is a big fave of mine.

We had a lovely day yesterday with the family at a charity farm near where my son lives, of course it was all about Cicely but as she wasn’t that bothered I fed the animals and really loved it. I know there’s the whole thing about zoos, and animals in captivity etc but it’s such a great experience to get close to animals and feed them - deers, donkeys, alpacas, sheep, goats and calves- I was in my element.
We got our tickets for the Roma friendly yesterday- something to look forward to but Garry is going to have to work on keeping his leg bent this month!
Lazy day today with a bit of housework thrown in - enjoy your Tuesday everyone 💙

The Marvin Gaye story is complicated.

As I'm sure you are aware he was shot and killed by his father. However apparently what proceeded the shooting was Marvin badly assaulting his father ( although some stories relate that he was intervening in a domestic dispute between his mother and father ) .

What is interesting and perhaps illuminating is that the father only received a suspended sentence.

Perhaps Fred is right and I need to set deeds apart from the artist. However the paedophile activities of Glitter , Harris etc is a step too far. Does Michael Jackson fall into that category?

As a lawyer I should only judge on evidence but , nah he's not for me.

Bit of a shame because ( remarkably) Rolf Harris appears on my 2nd favourite Kate Bush album Ariel. Happily when she remastered it on to vinyl and after he was exposed and convicted she replaced Harris. Unfortunately the original is better!

Busy day today moving logs that I've dried and stored for a couple of years into the log store near the house to allow room for new ones from an old diseased sycamore that the tree surgeon will cut down on Thursday. ( I attempt most things in the garden but felling a 40ft tree is beyond me 😂)

Good morning all. I'm so glad you got a bit of a lie in this morning @peteblue . Your day out yesterday sounds amazing @Val P . I am also conflicted by zoos but there is a lot of good work done regarding conservation. What I would never ever subscribe to however is orcas in captivity. It's cruel and totally without justification. Those animals are highly social and very intelligent and have oceans to live in so why confine them to the equivalentof a bath tub. Incidentallyif you have never seen it and are interested in animal welfare, watch Blackfish about the orca that killed its trainer.

I am very much looking forward to Frankie's visit today. He is so funny, even at two months old. Charlotte and her partner are going to out for a meal and a few drinks while we have our visitor.
