Have you ever heard a folk song Joey? Or a punk song or ska song and so on and so on. The reason people say music or art shouldn't mix with politics is that art can make you feel empathetic.

The Israeli government and it seems the British government don't want anyone to have any empathy for the suffering in Palastine.

No, I was referring to the idea that music and politics shouldn't mix. It's like saying politics and speaking shouldn't mix. It's one of the stupidest things I've ever read.
