Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I wouldnt agree with that at all.

Been to Germany a fair few times and find most germans (men mostly tbf) in the nicest way possible to be not very nice to be around.

Its not ignorace its experience. Love the actual country just really dont like dealing with them. Even when they come over here with touring crews its a nightmare.

Refined germans?

Anyway my point was just a little joke about how if i was mactee and i was weighing up my options where my next club would be. Having to move to Germany would be in the con list
Ah well. Sure McAtee will be ok. Likely surround himself with home comforts like Heinz Ketchup and Yorkshire Tea to make up for the goddam natives

But then that just becomes it's own little deadline doesn't it? It's not ideal to be in a position where another club can just take one of your players at very short notice, with no negotiation needed.
Not saying it is. Just pointing out that they shouldn't be able to do it just as the window is closing as you suggested.

strange
Not sure Champions League or Europa League is much of a pull these days. You'll get more big matches against top opposition in Premier League than Champions League these days.

What does matter is style of play. McAtee is a good fit for Bundesliga that is end to end and every team wants to press high. That's the football he grew up with. That's the football he know.

He has tried to play for a lesser English team that is defensive minded, and it was a poor fit. He knows how his mate Tommy Doyle got his career ruined by signing for a team such as Wolves.

If he goes to Germany and does well, many of the top English teams will look at him in a year or two. None of them will look at him after playing a year or two for a team managed by Moyes. That's the unfortunate truth.

If Everton were managed by a Carsley or another manager that plays the football McAtee grew up with, knows and loves, he'd be interested. For him to even consider a club such as Everton now he'll need to be poorly advised.
What a load of rubbish

Is this Moyes that made top players out of Lescott, Fellaini Baines, Jagielka, Rooney, Coleman, Osman, Pienaar, Arteta, Bowen etc?

am i right in thinking that only pickford and tarkowski earn more than 100k a week?

i presume that gueye has been offered a new deal on reduced terms, same with michael keane and that branthwaite will also earn around 100k with his new deal

incredible how much money we will be saving in wages now
