If he stays for less than half of what hes on now, on a short deal (1+1) and plays less than 10 games in all comps next season im not opposed.

We knew we couldn't sign 13 new players this season if we wanted to add any serious quality.

He's like Doucoure.

Scores the goal that keeps us up because he put us there in the first place.

Keane scores the goal that gives us a 3-3 draw because the average number of goals we concede when he plays is 3.1.

Made up that he stays?

Good for you.

Bit silly logic that - Doucure scored the goal that kept us up - he was dropped for half that season. Thats neither here nor there.

Look, this is savvy squad management - its why we offered Godfrey a deal last year, you can give someone 4 mill a year or you can take on 8 mill a year and double your cost for a 4th choice center backs - there may be summer that that might be reasonable, this summer we can do without it.

If we want to hit priorities in certain posititions this is one of the compromises that ay need to be made.

Ill actually be surprised if he signs a new deal to be honest, ill be surprised if he doesn't get a better offer.
