Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

14 starts = 3 goals
24 subs = 2 goals

The worst player on the pitch in almost every single game.

He got 2 of those goals in the last 9 games 1 in the Copa Italia and one against Fiorentina in the league.

3 goals over the rest of the season. In his final 5 games he got more than 18mins on the pitch 1ce.

He had a dreadful season and hes been dreadful since he came back from long term injury.

This is why he has no interest from Milan to keep him, or from Roma who have been trying to ship him out with no takers until Turkey.

He should be happy to have a move to Turkey.
Now do Chermitimitibangbang

Didn't we get linked to two South Americans one summer called Jesus and Adolf? That was fun.
Reineir Jesus and Adolfo Gaich. Jesus was bought by Real Madrid and is currently on loan at Granada. Adolfo is in Turkey on loan from CSKA Moscow. It does not seem that we missed out in either case.

They both had their own threads in which you can find all of the same jokes that are now being made here.

8-9 sounds a lot, but one will be a backup keeper which won’t be a problem for us, one will probably be Tete. So we’re down to 7 straight away. We’ve had windows in the past when we’ve seen a large number of players all arrive quickly. We had 7 in last season’s summer window for example. 8 in 22/23. It’s really not that difficult, especially with loans.

I’d be happy with Igor Jesus before Notts Forest pick him up for £10M

No good team does most of their business in the second half of August.
Not true. Most business happen late in the window. Lots of it by good clubs.

That said, it is always helpful for clubs to be attractive. If 5-6 clubs have interest for a player, the most attractive one can get business done early, while players have good reasons to not commit early for other clubs. That doesn't mean a transfer won't happen, but it will happen later.

You'd like to think that players Everton like to sign have interest from other clubs. Clubs that offer more money, a chance to win something and European football. We shouldn't be first choice for our transfer targets.

It's too early to going after our second and choices because our first choice will enjoy his vacation and hope other clubs shows interest before he says yes or no to Everton. Meanwhile our second and third choices are stalling any decision hoping Everton will give them an offer. It's a waiting game.

Maybe not that difficult to bring that many players in purely from a numbers perspective. But it's going to be very difficult to find 7 or 8 good players who will come in and be able to play at this level. We need at least 2 or 3 new players who can come in and immediately improve the first 11.

7 goal involvements in 1183 minutes in the league across 29 games but only 12 starts.

Avrage rating across the season is 6.74

22/23 we brought in Onana Garner Tarkowski McNeil Gueye

They all went straight into the first team and became the spine of the team over last few seasons. It’s difficult but it can be done and this season it’s absolutely necessary.
