Other Clubs Transfer Window 2025-2026.

Chelsea have 59 players under contract before this.
Notwithstanding any justification or reasoned explanation as to how above board Chelsea’s dealings may be….. the whole system makes a mockery of any club sitting outside the established cartel.

The likes of Everton and Forest having their toes held to the flames for breaches of spending rules have added a perception of legitimacy and provided some sort of public authenticity ritual. Ultimately the whole charade is starting to wear a bit thin, especially to those clubs trying to close the gap but now find themselves severely hamstrung in their efforts to ‘push on’.

I think this summer will be the most insane exhibition of spending of all time and when all is said and done, it will be very obvious where the power lies. (Like we don’t already know)

Great post mate, agree whole heartedly. Everything you say is true but it’s also more indemic, you now have Chelsea and City stockpiling players, hoovering up 15 year old, then selling them with buy back clauses.

The game has become rigged and anyone who get to close to competing is decimated. The collusion is rife, clubs, TV, PL - keep the whole gravy train going.

Subliminally we have all been conditioned to accept the crumbs if the top four table - Palace, Newcastle, Forest - will all have had brilliant seasons - they aren’t brilliant seasons they are anomalies, an odd missed year by the top 4 sides.

Fans need to realise we’re being sold a pup, the game is rigged and we are playing for crumbs, developing players to be sold in to the top four clubs.

Chelsea have 59 players under contract, yet we were left scrambling last season to sign players on loan to ensure we had enough players for key positions. Yes, we have been run poorly, but Chelsea's bloated squad size is ridiculous nevertheless.

Plus, we will likely also be scrambling and haggling to get deals over the line this summer, all whilst Chelsea continue to spend without any punishment in sight.

What’s not talked about mate is pre Bohkey they were found to have been misleading regulators, UEFA and the PL by separate secret accounts set up to pay players - seems they’ve just been let off with that.

Make no mistake about the clubs with the biggest world wide fan base, who watch the most tv, now run football and its administration, one hand feeds the other.

It’s not sport anymore, there isn’t a level playing field.

They are making a mockery of everything including themselves. Sad part is, once the FA decide to close the loop holes, it’ll be too late for anyone else, yet they’ll get away with it due to timing. Chelsea are beyond dislikable now. As bad as they get.

Over €400 million spent by 4th place Chelsea since start of 2024/25 season once Pedro is signed.

Absolutely takes the piss, the Abramovic 10-year cheating case still hasn't been resolved (or has it?) and they've been given green light to sell their assets to themselves to cheat FFP, while we suffer for half a decade and are deducted points for spending a few million extra on a stadium for the next 150 years.

Because an American consortium decided to run a bus through the leagues financial fair play rules that were never fit for purpose written by a junior para legal on work experience.

Chelsea have always been a horrible club. But this type of behaviour is more "wish we thought of it first"

Any type of "success" they have hurts the game though. The fact they qualified for the champions league is another nail in the coffin

They are playing the league and uefa at their own games better, they just have a better paid bunch of crooks than they have - I’d love us to be able to work the rules that efficiently. I’m not smart enough to understand how they are cooking the books but they are smashing it.

Personally i think its more concerning around player welfare putting them on long contracts they cant get out of. Making them practically unsellable.

But then again ive read Bohley thinks he can terminate contracts like in the NFL.
