With 12 months left on his contract, it’s completely up to McAtee regarding who he signs for. There’s no need for him to be pushed into a move that he doesn’t really fancy with just 12 months left on his contract.

Generally, a player would inform the club he wants to sign for whichever club, and they would proceed to do the deal.

If McAtee wants to sign for Everton, but we won’t entertain a buy back clause, what are city going to do? Lose him for nothing next summer?

I would have absolutely no time for City’s antics, they are literally dredging the northwest, and Merseyside in particular, of its talent.

He's a pacy 24 year old winger from Benfica's academy. He and James Garner follow each other on Instagram, and Youssef Chermiti just followed him after he was released. Could be nothing, but he'd be a very cheap reserve (free transfer, low wage) who could come in late in a match with pace on either wing.

It's more fun that refreshing every tab and still seeing no news. Some of the odd links are easy to explain, like someone followed by four Everton players but they've all crossed paths at prior clubs or came from the same academy. The vague ones are fun to speculate about.

I like it Den, like you say it makes things a little more interesting and you just never know when all the dots join up and we'll end up signing someone who wasn't on the radar of the press or the ITK's

Agree with you on this. In fact as soon as Fulham made an improved contract offer especially with him needing to think about it I would have told him to FO then.
