ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Two titles in thirty odd years in two of the flattest top-flight seasons in recent history and this lot genuinely think they're gods gift to football  spending about £200m already this summer has proper gone to their heads. I've actually seen a number of them suggest that 'nobody rivals them in world football currently'.. 💀

Look forward to the day that they stumble spectacularly back off that 'perch' of theirs...
The fact that they think they’re some kind of super fans for sticking by the club when hodgson had them SIXTH or when houllier missed the champions league the year after winning all kinds sums them up.

Maldini has the be one of the greatest defenders of all time . Could player everywhere in the back line and was a total pro . Comparing any Liverpool defender past or present to this world legend is laughable.

I mentioned on here a while ago about my deluded RS mate who said Van Dijk was the best centre- half in world footy there has ever been. I then came up with a list of past players who were far better than him. He rebuked them all and said he would give me Maldini but there wasn’t much in it. 😂

So he’s better than Baresi , Thuram and Beckenbauer then ? I wouldn’t even put him ahead of gloom merchant Hansen .

Liverpool chairman Tom Werner: "We think there could now be as many as a billion people around the world who follow Liverpool. There is a special connection with the fans."

Lord above.
Ffs nowt like getting carried away. Leave some fans for the rest of football oh massive ones
