When you consider that for the bulk of his career with us, he played on his own up front and almost always against two defenders, he was anything but crap as some have suggested. He always worked hard and scored some c racking goals for us. It is absolutely the right time for him to go, but I hope if he ever plays at BMD, he gets the reception he deserves.

Good luck Dom, I hope you go to a slower, less physical league, where you can spend more time on the pitch and less in the treatment room.

Wish him nothing but the best but,

Can we get a #9 with a surname fit for a song?

(Doesn’t matter if they’re good at togger)

Classy words from a classy guy really.

Did fantastically well for us given what we paid and is one of our best signings over the last 10 years. Injuries ultimately curtailed his upward trajectory.

The right decision from the club and probably him to not sign a new contract. I'm sure he will have a lot of suitors following his contribution to us.

Make no bones the previous owners would've caved and offered him stupid money.

This lot have stuck to their guns and he's seen his arse. Bravo.

No personal axe to grind and he's been a good bargain buy.

However, I certainly wouldn't be sucked in by the cut and paste platitudes in his statement.

This whole scenario is the epitome of the Alan Partridge shrug gif.
