Nah, I can see why Maldini would struggle to pair up with Robbo or Trenty as they're both just world class and telepathic and you know, just proper world class and that.

Stuff like this just shows them up for the absolute blert football fans that they are, the most insular, navel gazing shower of know nothings about football to walk the earth.

Maldini is simply one of the best footballers to have ever played the game, full stop, never mind fullback, centre back or whatever position.

Comparisons to genuine legends are just ridiculous.

Two titles in thirty odd years in two of the flattest top-flight seasons in recent history and this lot genuinely think they're gods gift to football spending about £200m already this summer has proper gone to their heads. I've actually seen a number of them suggest that 'nobody rivals them in world football currently'..

Look forward to the day that they stumble spectacularly back off that 'perch' of theirs, because it could feasibly happen much sooner than they think...
