Your first line is the big hitter there and it’s such a massive thing. They genuinely just have no idea what it’s like to support team like us, they’re so far removed from it that they seriously think seeing them finishing 6th is supporting them through the bad times. It drives me insane that many (not all, some are normal) of them are literally incapable of understanding things from our point of view. This is genuinely how I feel sometimes, that club will never know how it feels to be us for the last 30 years, the same way we have no idea how it really feels to be successful and the media darlings...
Their records and trophy haul is insurmountable for a club like us, you hope good things are around the corner and I think TFG will be decent for us and they will take us to Europe but winning the odd cup is the most realistic ambition we can have as Evertonians.
I was too young to see or enjoy the last title success and it`s pretty much a cast iron guarantee I won`t live long enough to see one either.
I don`t envy them for much but the trophies and success they have had I would kill to have for myself and every Evertonian, we all deserve it after what we have had to endure!

That tracksSeems a fair price to me.
I automatically think you’re awful if you’re at that age playing in that league.Turkish media seem to think us and Villa are in for Galatasaray's Gabriel Sara. He's turned 26 today and he's a box-to-box midfielder.
Same here, but supposedly after great success with Norwich in the Championship, he was courted by some Premier League and Serie A clubs, but Galatasaray paid the asking price and gave him a big payday. Galatasaray also gave him a chance at Champions League play and to boost his profile for the Brazil national side. It looks like his role is different there, so he's not producing the same scoring numbers he was at Norwich, but 2 goals and 9 assists from a defensive midfielder, even in Turkey, sounds pretty good.I automatically think you’re awful if you’re at that age playing in that league.
Yep. Tim Howard had a word with him. And he's best mates with Landon Donovan. His girlfriend is Brian McBride's god-daughter. And Joe Max-Moore is his childhood hero.
Like city and United etc, seem to be able to spend and spend and nothing ever seems to happen. We got done cos we went 20m over, I’m sure they spend a fortune on their big stand and yet they keep signing players.RS have chalked up 170 mill on signings. That's what will make the fawning sickening Red Echo even more hateful. Do I sound jealous??![]()
Why do I feel like Weah won't stay there? He made a comment about Italian food being kind of boring. Those crazy fockers have already started to go crazy over it.Plenty sources say they were.
Weah wants to stay at Juve.
Are you saying we made no offer for Tete either ?
Yeah, I also dont think Weah will stay at Juve. After starting out the season scoring well, they played him at RB for much of the rest of it. I cant imagine many attackers would be happy with that or see a future there. Why do I feel like Weah won't stay there? He made a comment about Italian food being kind of boring. He's never met him. What did Preki say?
Ben, it might be an age thing, and I was lucky enough to do Wembley,Bayern and see the wins in the 80’s,but I genuinely don’t want to be anything like them. This is genuinely how I feel sometimes, that club will never know how it feels to be us for the last 30 years, the same way we have no idea how it really feels to be successful and the media darlings...

Absolutely this! I’m surrounded by glory fans, each of them expecting to win every game. There’s no thrill, no risk, no real highs and lows, just plastic fans who have zero identity and are hated by everyone. I’d far rather support a team not knowing if we will win, lose or draw each game, than a team that you just expect to win every game it’s boring and soullessBen, it might be an age thing, and I was lucky enough to do Wembley,Bayern and see the wins in the 80’s,but I genuinely don’t want to be anything like them.
If honest I find the RS totally soulless. They are the media darlings, saw some fawning nonsense on the BBC sport website yesterday about the breaking up of the greatest full back pairing ever or some such. Didn’t bother reading it. But TAA always got shown up when picked for England, certainly never picked over Walker at right back.
I do think we need to be careful what we wish for. Mate of mine, old school Man City, with all his memories of play off finals, and way days in lower leagues, completely stopped watching them 3 seasons into the Arab takeover. Just became not for him and why he loved his club/ game.
We have been through some very tough, scary and almost criminally negligent times recently ,but a big part of this club, most clubs, is the community. The match going or watching experience.
Football has changed and will continue to change. Yes let’s hope for a few Wembley days out and a pot or 2, but also let’s hope we stay Everton.
If you know, you know as they say.
Pity the RS. Don’t envy them as they really don’t have what we have got. And let us keep, protect and cherish it.
Brought a tear to my eye that, well saidBen, it might be an age thing, and I was lucky enough to do Wembley,Bayern and see the wins in the 80’s,but I genuinely don’t want to be anything like them.
