Castore - get rid?

Was just thinking about this, post 86 (Lineker) kit most kits had blue socks? when did white socks come back? was it the sort of lighter royal blue One 2 One kit? still got my hot rocked one somewhere
Yeah i looked into it a couple of years ago because someone was insisting that white socks were traditional but my memories of buying full kits when i was a kid were all with blue socks. Don't quote me because i'm going from memory but I'm pretty sure I found that we never wore white socks at all before the 50s or 60s, wore them for most of the 70s and early 80s but then switched back to blue for most of the next 20 years, then sort of alternated between the 2 for a bit and then having a succession of white sock kits recently.

In short, white socks aren't really the 'traditional' kit - in as much as we didn't wear them for the first 60/70 years - and whether they're the sort of de facto 'right' kit is probably determined by when you were born and so what you remember being the norm.

It looked sus in the pics, but it looks mint actually on the players.
Agreed. It’s not the best kit ever, but it’s also not bad at all. And as time passes, as the club moves in the right direction on the pitch - and off it - maybe we’ll get some absolute bangers in the future. But for now, this is absolutely fine - particularly as I’ve been able to buy it without that disgusting sponsor.

Are you supposed to get a discount on club merchandise with a Forever Blue membership? I can't find anything about that now that there's new merchandise to purchase.

Weren’t gambling sponsors verboten by regulation now? I was looking forward to getting something more upmarket. Our rapacious capitalist American overlords should be good for at least that
