Barry should have scored at least one tonight but didn’t. I didn’t like his loose flick ons… can hear the crowd groans now!

I don’t think he’s ready to be first choice striker yet…..looks promising but raw.

Also a fee of €40m if true is very high unless €20m are add ons.

To be fair that's just his release cause and the club have consistently been briefing to the press that they don't want to pay that.

I wouldn't be shocked if we start publicly pursuing another striker to get Villareal to the negotiating table actually.

25-30m for a promising young striker is perfectly reasonable these days I think. That's what we paid for Beto!

From the 30 mins I’ve seen of him, I’d say he’s 60% DCL and 40% Oumar Niasse.

Ngl that sounds much better than 100% DCL.

Fair, I didn't watch tonight's match, but over the course of a whole season he's a well above-average striker in La Liga at the age of 22 and the recruitment team clearly think he's a good stylistic fit. That's an easy yes at that price imo.
