Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

This boy looks mustard. Have him and N’Diaye swapping positions throughout a game

Yep. Initial thought from me was a no as i thought he was exclusively left sided.

I posted that in here and didnt realise he could play both sides and of course he's the profile we should be looking for on the right.

With Ndiaye playing on the right vs England then it could be a good idea for them to interchange during games.

If i initially thought he was right sided then i'd have been thrilled with this link.

Lets hope its true.

How much do you plan on buying stuff from Hill Dickinson? Do you gamble with Stake? If by "the fans" you mean every club's fans then you are at least onto something but we Everton fans are a small minority, particularly among service subscribers. TV money is by far the biggest single income stream. There are also events at the stadium attended by all sorts of people. I mean, how do fans pay if an artist performs at the BMD?
We are a small minority of all fans who subscribe to football platforms worldwide. However, we also only get a, relatively, small slice of the global TV market income. I hope we do manage to bring revenue streams into the club that don't involve direct contributions from fans but we haven't yet. Even when we do there is likely a decent amount of overlap. For example, I've bought a ticket for the upcoming rugby league Ashes match at BMD. One of the reasons that I'm going is because I'm not a season ticket holder and it may be my first chance to see the stadium and I know I'm not the only person who has done that.

Either way, the argument that fans shouldn't be able to criticise the club for overspending on players because "it's not their money" is as absurd as it is facile.

We actually get a far bigger slice than our global fanbase is. For instance, season before City and Arsenal got 175m while we got 132 million despite those clubs have many times more fans. Even Sheffield U who finished last got over 100 million.

The idea that fans pay for all or even most of this is just plain wrong. Have been for a long time. Even if you look at the big clubs, sponsors don't pay tens of millions for a spot on big club's shirt thinking they get their money back from the fans of that particular club. That's just not how it works.

Your last point is correct, of course we can criticize club on stuff like that. Overspending, however, is really hard to figure. If we buy Barry for 35 million is that overpay? If not, how will he pay that money plus his wages back? Would a 20 million player been better worth the money even if he scores a few goals less?

Main position yes, but very versatile in the attack, basically like anyone we consider to play in the winger/CAM role.
Not talking about this chap in particular, but don’t think we should carry on buying players that have played 482 times on the left, 98 in the middle and 4 times on the right when we need a right sided player. And vice versa. Versatile players have a “best” position. We often buy versatile players and use them in their “can do a job” positions. We’ve needed a right winger for years and years. We should absolutely buy a nailed on, no discussion, rubbish on the left, right winger to play right wing.

Edit: should add, if this dude is substantially better than Illy on the left, then buy all means, get him in if it leaves enough to fill every other hole (which it won’t)

Nothing to add with that. RB, ST and RW (main positions) are the first 3 to get now.

This one is genuinely two footed Zat 😉

How many wingers do they have? Genuine question. They seem to have a massive squad to me.

Don't know about wingers but they have 43 first team players on their books after a quick google, 15 who can not actually be registered to play in their Premier league squad. To put that in perspective we will have by next week 14 players I think I read on this forum. Two different Worlds eh...

Which team?

You're being a bit weird. Not sure why you're trying to create a Mills & Boon story about me thanking someone for an update.

It's actually more than a bit weird.
Sorry to weigh in on this but your comments and “well played ” were pure cringe.

You can say that TV income pays for transfers but it doesn't really change the fact that - given all the teams in the PL get a share - the differentiator is how wisely you spend it.

So given that real fans want success relative to the other teams - value from every million counts - even more so for those with less revenue (given PSR).

'Its not my money' ... no ... but if you support the club then value matters a great deal.

I'm surprised it has to be said - especially after Mosh.

Sounds like Wetherspoons wisdom - a pint too many !

Anyway, let's hope Friedkins can increase revenue - even if it's Chelsea cheating style.
