As I recall, the chief question was whether the fire or the frying pan was better - and if perhaps maybe there was an option out there somewhere that wasn't extremely terrible.

Ha, indeed, recall using that exact phrase...

I also never felt 777 would happen/they were led on, and it was a way to get money in after taps turned off/USM Arena was pulled.

But I think more advocated them, than people admit now.

Separate holding co for the women’s team?

Going to be paying £10m a year to use GP hopefully, to boost the men’s teams PSR position……

Low bar that fella

That the others couldn't clear. The only credible buyers were TFG and MSP, and the only ones with that truly had the means were TFG.

I remember long arguments about John Textor's wealth, now he's selling an appreciating asset (Crystal Palace) to pay off the usurious Ares debt for a club in France.

I'm ok with owners who do the basics. And while it's early, when is the last time we've had an owner who had the goods and acted sensibly? It's been decades.

Not sure this is accurate gents.

I recall taking a fair bit of stick on social media just for asking should we be concerned about 777.

Some of the big accounts as well were calling for them to be given a chance/spinning positives around them.

It isn't. People were debating which of 777 or MSP were the better option, when there was still plenty of information out there to doubt the legitimacy of 777.

And while we can doubt that 777 would ever have been approved, the fact of the matter is that they got to the last step.

I see FSG are persuing Getafe within a multi-club structure. That will hardly pose an issue for European competition you would think, but it underlines that not only is the model here to stay, but it will expand into the future.

It won't mean that clubs get a free hand with regulation but I do think that any reform of the rules in future will have to take account of its increasing prevalence.

What I am saying is just let’s all just calm down calling them amazing, great etc.

I hated Kenwright wanted him gone for years prior to Moshiri came along.

I fully jumped on the bandwagon when he came in, “we’re back” and thought Kenwright would be gone within 6-12 months.

Look how wrong I was, we certainly weren’t back we nearly went never mind anything else. It also took death himself to remove Kenwright from this club.

Cautionary tale.

Yeah but we had good times though.

You aren’t though. You are pretending like they have done nothing since they have been here (conveniently ignoring my last reply to you pointing out the 3 major things of note they have done) and then acting as if they are doing a pathetic job so far this window.

Despite the whole world and its dog knowing that PSR is still a real issue for us (because of things before TFGs ownership) until July 1st and that there has been very little business done by any clubs so far because of PSR. And despite that, they have still stumped up the money for Alcaraz.

They've done very well so far, there was the money earmarked for the purchase of Broja if the option on his loan deal was deemed successful.

A figure though to be 30 million, which is probably what we bid for Delap with, which Chelsea probably had lined up all along when structuring Broja's sale option to us.

We are probably keeping our powder dry for this available position in the squad for a forward until July now.

Seem to remember quite a few people on here getting upset with Josimar’s reporting over 777. The were sounding the alarm incredibly early on a some just didn’t want to listen.

Acting proper now.

Just wair for the PL to put a 100% tax levy on it, just in time for us to sell.
