Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I think we may bring in one or two from the Championship this window. We also need to make sure to meet the hoemgrown quota for next season and you're probably more likely to get value for money looking in the Championship for homegrown talent than you are in the Prem.

Would take Shea Charles and Hayden Hackney for the midfield - although to get them both in would cost quite a decent chunk of money.
Shea Charles would be absolutely perfect for us, playing as a 6.

I think we’re probably never going to quite agree on this one, but for me the biggest thing that’s changed in 40 years has been the relative overall strength of our top two divisions compared to other countries - interestingly, Opta recently declared the Championship the sixth strongest league in all of world football. Stronger than the Portuguese, Netherlands, Brazilian and Belgian top divisions. There’s so much quality there.

I agree with the first part. Also agree that the Championship is a very strong league. But the past 6 promoted clubs went straight back down and there wasn't much drama in those relegations. The Championship has closed the gap on other European leagues, but in that time the PL has gotten even stronger.

This isn't to say that the league isn't a good place to find players. But they should be at an age where they can continue to grow at Everton. Guys like Hamer and James will never get any better than they are at this moment in time.

I still feel a deal can be made with liverpooo for doak if we want him. Think could be between 20/25 with add ons in the deal. Just depends on other things if other clubs come in could increase the price
I’d rather we didn’t give Liverpool anything like £20mil for a player.
They’ll only go and buy the next Salah with it.

Let some other chump like Bournemouth buy their cast-offs.

They’re spending £300m this summer regardless of whether we give them the £20m or not.
