Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Afternoon all, I’m chuffed to bits right now because I have just driven my car for the first time since I broke my arm which is 6 weeks. It felt so great - like putting an old pair of slippers on.
Also on Friday I saw a hummingbird hawk moth in the garden! I’ve only ever seen them in Greece before (although I know they are all over the Mediterranean). I actually hate moths, they give me the creeps, but it was fascinating to watch it dance around the flowers.
Glad to hear @Barnfred 55 is having a great time, and I bet your dog looks cute after its hair do @peteblue .
Have a lovely Sunday 💙
Thought of you today. Saw this hawk moth outside M & S at our local retail park this morning.

Good to hear you able to drive again. Our old neighbour ( the one we cared for) was terrified of moths and wouldn’t have her bedroom window open even in summer for fear one would get in. She also kept the bedroom door closed for fear of burglars, how she didn’t suffocate I’ll never know.
I’m like that with keeping the windows closed too 😱

Good morning all on this wet one here .I hope all are well and that things went well for @Pilks yesterday . That is a great picture @Gwladysover ,I have a spotters guide to butterflies and moths ,I have never seen one of those -I am normally asleep when they come out . I hope all the rest on here had a good night and have a great day today . Can't wait for news on @peteblue 's fridge !! COYB

That horrible muggy weather seems like it is here to stay today- rain but very warm. This is our future I guess with climate change. Speaking of which, a strange court decision yesterday has left me pondering. The A5 road is a notorious one for fatalities and one which I am so careful on (not too often thank goodness). There has been a campaign to upgrade it but it faced objections from some un-named people. The public never really understood why but it was all revealed yesterday- carbon emissions! Apparently the work to make the road safer would breach local Govt environmental targets. There is something really not right about that reasoning.

At work we used the phrase - hit the target, miss the point.

It gets delivered Thursday and the old one taken away……

Hi folks. I hope you are all well. Today, I have mostly been watching the cricket ( to be honest, that's s been the pattern of the previous 4 days as well). Totally enthralling match that went to the wire. Proper Test Match cricket. I did drag myself away from it yesterday to do aqua aerobics. Tomorrow Im going to yoga - session 3. I will report back.
The weather is very strange, quite warm but lots of rain too.
The press up here are reporting that Everton are still interested in Sean Longstaff - who they seem to have been trying to buy for about 4 years if you believe what you read!
Kenny T seems decent.
Have a good evening x
