Last Film You Watched

There is a film in 'prometheus', but we're going to have to wait for the directors cut like we did with BR.
Studio recut alien3 as well.
So far as the 28's go, the first one developed character, we were all gutted when Gleeson turned, the supermarket, the rats, the squaddies, the pile of corpses. It was violent and nasty but there were moments of levity and humour. Hated the second one. What a waste of time. 28 years later seems a bit of a wasted effort, where's the relevance? half the audience has no connection anyhow. If it had been ready straight after covid and took the pish there, then it'd have gone down a storm.

over engineered, committee thought, pandering.

I want trailblazers.
I like the Prometheus movies, unpopular as they seem to be, mainly for David. Quite a character. Perhaps due to it being an Alien prequel it gets judged harder, similar to the Star Wars prequels.

I like Fassbender's performance, and it sort of follows what I've always wanted (mother & Ash & the company - the corporate machine dismissing life for 'more'). I've mentioned before 'Alien' isn't the first film, they were sent because they'd found the beacon previous and lost the target. There could be hundreds of failed capture missions. Was harder to follow the evolution of the poison impregnation seeing as it was so arbitrary with who and how it happened to. And the Fassbender involvement. How did he know? Back to Ash and "all other priorities rescinded".
Give me a few quid, I'll take you on a journey, corporate hostility to the lives of their staff? Easy! All for a quick buck and harming others? Even Easier.

obviously irony involved.

Imagine the amount of money it'd cost to CGI out his bush from the scene.

Shudders*

Prometheus was a good film.
However Scott and 20th Centry pandered to the "needs to be more Alien" cries. Covenant therefore was a mess of the two different paths Scott wanted to use.

I originally asked about this on page 2881.
Has anyone on here seen Compliance?
Based on actual facts, quite disturbing.
Maybe its more appealing to us women & so you might not want to watch with your girlfriends or wives (no nudity).
You would probably get more replies if you didn't' imply that all us men are only interested about watching films with female leads if they get naked :coffee:

To answer your question though, never heard of it, but looks interesting.

Honestly, didn't intend for it to sound like that, I meant its an awkward film to watch but at least there's no nudity.
Sorry, I really wouldn't insult men like that.
Good film though, really different.
Apologies again Davep.

I think I have seen this... 2013, set in fast food place?

As enjoyable as it was, both me and my then girlfriend said she should have just put the phone down. Thought it was unreal tbat she took the threat seriously. To be fair, that was 12 years ago, so maybe I should watch it again.

Yes, that's the one, I agree she should have put the phone down. Shows how people can be easily led though.

Watched Salems lot the new film last night and though I will still insist the original mini series, made into a film on Amazon, was still superior. I enjoyed the film far more than I did the first time of watching.
