Other Clubs Transfer Window 2025-2026.

England U21 international who could win his second straight Euros by the weekend, nearly 100 PL appearances, played on the biggest stage in Europe, I’d say he’s definitely worth around that as he’s going get better and better, maybe even push his way into World Cup contention by next summer

Really? I’ll be amazed if Harvey Elliot wins more than an handful of England caps playing for another club that isn’t Liverpool. He wasn’t even making the squads that much when he was playing for a team that basically guarantees you an international cap.

I’d be absolutely livid if Everton paid 40 million for Harvey Elliot.

Why he’s a good player if you drop your anti red specs for 5 seconds

Not 40 mill good though. He’s a decent enough player but this is a lad who is struggling to make a very average England squad. Cherki has just gone for less than that and he’s going into the City first 11. I don’t think Elliot would even displace Mitoma and Minteh from the flanks at Brighton. If you said the deal was for 15 mill I could understand, but 40 mill?! The world’s gone mad if he goes for that amount.

The world sadly has gone mad. Prices are mental.

Never want to hear another word on this forum about Brighton’s genius recruitment if they throw 40 mill at that weasel. That would equal our transfer record, for a lad who was average at Fulham.

If this happens Brighton will have paid actual money for Lallana Milner and Harvey Elliot and sent them McCallister the other way for a cut price fee. Recruitment geniuses.
Couldn't agree more.

Argentinian World Cup winner Mac Allister (23 at the time), Brighton to Liverpool £35 million rising to a potential £55 million depending on loads of things which likely won't be achieved.

England Under-21 international Elliott (22), Liverpool to Brighton £40 million.

Surely not.

Already spent £60m to add to the £280m they spent last summer to go from 11th to 9th

8 player in that time between the £30m & £35m mark? Not sure if that is a solid recruitment programme

Liverpool (and other clubs) will look at what they have spent on squad players over the last 18 months and want the same

Looking forward to the week we end up forking out £25m on Ben Doak
