minor things that make you fume

I have recently noticed that two things are bothering me when out and about: electric scooters and the failure of young cyclists to control their front wheel when riding their bicycles.

I am all for sensible cyclists, but there are too many cyclists currently who could handle themselves better on a bike. All too often I have encountered cyclists who struggle to cycle in a straight line and allow their front wheel to turn, to the extent to which you do not know which way they are heading. Occasionally I need to move out of their way at the last second.

Electric scooters are also annoying, especially when used on pavements and left strewn across pavements.

They did a routine draining of the area of the Albert Dock where the Daffodil is parked, I'm doing a little project on blue mussels and was lucky enough that the canal and rivers trust let me observe and help. Sadly they found about 15-20 of those annoying scooters at the bottom of the docks.

The effort that has gone into recovering those waters and people do stuff like that!

Saw loads at low tide on the river here as well. Must have been kids. They found a hack on them so they’d get free rides. Surprised the companies hadnt bothered to recover them themselves.
