"Following a comprehensive recruitment process, the Club has appointed Nick Cox as Technical Director, James Smith as Director of Scouting and Recruitment, Chris Howarth to direct the Club's football strategy & analytics operations and Nick Hammond to lead the Club's player trading activity."

Hope they all agree on things
Also, who’s ultimately accountable?

I think we are a very good proposition for ambitious people.

We can't throw money at every position but will grow commercially and that should allow for higher spending in the coming years.

I can actually see rationale in Cox and Smith leaving Utd and City respectively. This is a great opportunity to further enhance their reputations but will require real-time application and not merely spending £60m on every problem.

Everything seems new and that is also a pull factor. It does feel like a blank page with a very promising support team coming together which can hopefully start to assist Moyes to craft a team and squad we can be proud of in the coming years.

One of TFGs stated aims was "Thoughtful and Strategic Investment" - now let's see that start to happen in the next few weeks and months.

Im going to say, I would be surprised if we spend less than 100m. 150m+ is on the table, though Im not sure if any individual signing is above 35m.
Hopefully
Over TFG’s entire time at Roma though, they’ve not far off broken even on net spend, about + 25 million since taking over.

Are we still employing the people who smeared the fans to the media?

Said the board should stay away from the ground for the own safety and the chief exec had been attacked?

Might be an idea to show them the door if we want a new start and build trust with the fans.

Apparently we might be taken over soon so they wont be around for long.

My first thought- too many cooks?
Or maybe it’s to fix a problem that’s dogged us for years. One person trying to do everything. Take Thelwell for example. His scope was far ranging and the job was obviously too big for him. I see these appointments as assigning clear defined roles to experienced individuals. As long as the lines of communications are in place, there’s nothing wrong with having heads of sheds

I wonder if these people are a fancy term for “recruitment team”? If so it won’t be reinventing the wheel.

I also see tucked away in this news is an acquisition of something called Inside Sport. What’s that?

Nobody knows much. They've not even got a website. Perhaps Paddy Boyland will earn his keep as a journalist enlightening us.

“Everton Football Club, through its new ownership under The Friedkin Group, has acquired Insight Sport, a sports data consultancy. Insight Sport is not a physical product but a company that provides advanced analytics and data-driven solutions to enhance performance and strategic decision-making in sports. The acquisition is part of Everton's strategy to bolster its analytics capabilities, with Chris Samuelson, who has worked with 14 clubs across Europe through Insight Sport, joining the club to support this initiative. This move is aimed at improving Everton's long-term competitiveness, particularly in areas like player recruitment and performance analysis”
