Did Kerkez have a release clause?

Bought for £17.8m (I'd imagine AZ get probably at least a 5% of profit they make, so another £1m)
Sold for £40m

Replacement cost £13.5m

No guarantee the replacement will be any or good or better than Kirkez, so is it worth it for Bournemouth for £7.7m?

£40m for a proven PL left back at the age of 21 seems a bargain

Same goes for Huijsen

Paid £19.63m for him and sold for £62m, id imagine again there are some % going to Juve too, lets say £3m?

They haven't bought his replacement yet, but lets say £20m?

£19m for a player who starts at Centre back for Spain

That's about £25m in the bank for Bournemouth off there starting left back and Centre back, that doesn't get you Jarrel Quansah in todays money.

I enjoy having a go at a certain team who are a bird by the seaside for there 'business instead of football' approach, but at least you can say they would get £80m a piece for those 2

Get em in, run the rule over them, farm them out, sell them on, bring in a return, call it grass roots development, sell on clause, cash in the bank.

It is a business plan. See one, Liam Delap.
Ban multi club ownership (or at least ban transfers and loans between clubs in the same umbrella) and put a limit on how many players you can have at a club in each age group

I take your point but from a financial perspective:

A: They made a £20mil profit on one asset and £40mil on another.

B: This will be higher when looking at the book value

C: PSR will be greatly improved

D: Other players will want to play for them to follow those two players' pathways.

Out of the club?

I rate Huijsen on a level of Branthwaite, and we would be furious at £62m

Cucurella cost Chelsea £65m
Maatsen cost Villa £45m
Chilwell £50m

And you havent factored in the cost of replacing Huijsen & Kerkez

Totally becoming feeder teams to the sly six.

Well, yes of course players will want to sign for them as a stepping stone. They arent winning anything soon.

Huijsen had a release clause. Kerkez at £40mil is a good deal if you factor in Truffert as his replacement (could well be equally as good).

I think the reds got the better end of that deal.

£40m for a player with 70 PL games under his belt, 21 years of age, proven to be in the list of better fullbacks in the league.

As said, factor in the replacement cost (who we never know with these signings, could be a disaster) even if he isnt there is always a bedding in period, just like Kerkez. They only made about £7m.

As said id be furious if we sold him for that, we sold a 29 year old Lucas Digne for only £10m less
