Some longer-term planning going on.

Difficult to be patient as an Evertonian at this point - but the football side needs building now the stadium is built.

Seems a great hire this. Still not too clued up on all the lingo though, is Technical Director similar to a Director of Football or a different role entirely?

so it seems that we are putting a food team to support the manager and the first team/club. Good news and really hope this mean we have real targets and are discussing already as am really nervous now with the holes we have to fill in the first team.

But I thought these used car salesman were just leaving us to rot?

Would much rather have them getting things in place behind the scenes than turning up to matches and firing managers all over the shop.

I'm pretty sure that second piece will come soon enough...

Usually technical director has more than that on his plate. Pretty much everyone else except Kinnear obviously would be under Cox. He would oversee recruitment, footballing strategy etc. Or as Ashworth once said, he was the hub connecting all other parts.

The whole point of such org charts is who reports to who and who gives orders to who? If Howarth works on strategy does he work directly with Kinnear, bypassing Cox? But if he is under Cox why would Smith, who's job is very much tied to what Howarth does be directly under Kinnear and not Cox?
