Fixtures

so let me get this right

Liverpool get to start the season with a home game
Liverpool get to end the season with a home game
Liverpool get a home game for boxing day
Liverpool get a home game for last game of the year / new years eve

all 4 of these games are extremely winnable fixtures as well against Bournemouth, Brentford, Wolves and Leeds

meanwhile little ol everton get to look forward to christmas day with a home game against bloody Arsenal
First Home game: We might of asked for an away to give us 2 weeks prep after the test event on the 9th?
Last Home game: Asking for first game away would of meant our first was scheduled to be home but got changed, hence last away
Home boxing day: Burnley away is an ace boxing day game for us, we usually get City at home at lunch time

Yes? They got relegated 2 years ago with a massive chip on their shoulder because they think we robbed them of a place in the PL. If you don't think they'll be massively up for it playing under the lights first game back up against us then fine, I do but it's not really a big deal either way is it? As I've already said about 10000 times, i'm not saying it's an unwinnable game or the worst possible start, just that I think it will be quite tough.

You wouldn't think it was hugely controversial to say any game was going to be a tough for a side which hasn't finished any higher than 10th for the last 6 years and has averaged less than 4 away wins per season since fans were let back into stadiums, but apparently it is. Who knew.
Just like Newcastle were up for it last game of the season?
Look at that squad

I don't really see the relevance? Like I said in the post you're quoting and lots of others before, I'm not saying we can't win the game, only that I don't think it's an ideal game first up. Again, I really don't think it's a hugely controversial opinion, but I can pretend that we're best team in the world and will win all games if it makes people sad to hear otherwise.

Thanks, appreciate it if you do please

I hadn't noticed that - very odd indeed. I am pretty sure that we have played teams home and away in the same month before, but that is usually after fixtures have been rescheduled due to clashing fixtures - not due to scheduling from the outset.
It looks like it's the same for all teams. I haven't checked all but those that I have are in a similar position.
