In defence of the system, there's so much for it to consider e.g. no home clashes for us/RS, Arsenal/Spurs, etc.

I feel like similar fixtures are often drawn out. When we play Liverpool, Arsenal will play Spurs or there'll be another Derby so Sky make a thing of it. There is definitely an element of cherry picking

Also, I remember that if we played Utd home, Liverpool played City away, same with Arsenal & Spurs & other rival clubs, think it added to the excitement too.

I've just seen the leak - six away fixtures to start the season: United, Brentford, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Leeds, Sunderland. An extremely tough start, and no home game until October!

Christmas and New Year's fixtures a nightmare: 20th December Newcastle away, 22nd December Forest home, 26th December Arsenal away, 29th December United home, 1st January Spurs away.

I guess the news about the stadium delay was right after all.
