Transfer Rumour Kyle Walker

If he comes in as a sort of Young replacement and can help the team towards the end of a match, then I think he'd be an ok signing but I'd be a bit worried if he's constantly starting games week in, week out as he's been largely plop when I've seen him for England the last year and it's evident he's on a decline.

Bringing in Kyle Walker to see off games? Yikes.

Certainly not as a constant starter. He's on a decline and as someone else pointed out, he's not got a great injury record but he's certainly still a step ahead of Patterson, Coleman and even Young.

There is absolutely no chance on earth that somebody with the ego of Kyle walker comes to Everton to sit on the bench, and nor should we be even thinking about mulling over considering paying him the wages he would want if that was our plan.

Mainly not a fan because of his reputation of being a bit of a bell. But.. footballing wise.. he's an upgrade at right back, even if he's dropped off a bit.

Jake is not a right back, he did well filling the role for a season, but he's no1 backup centre back, transitioning into future starting centre back hopefully when Tarks starts dropping off or if Brainthwaite goes for mega money.

Depends how much money we have to spent and what positions are being prioritised, but I'd have Walker if it meant we filled Striker, Right Wing, centre mid, with some real talent. We also lack depth hard, so I think we need to being in quite a few faces.

I agree with that, if he's not prepared to take a substantial drop in wages we should certainly avoid. We've hopefully moved on from offering silly wages though now though and that can be money spent better elsewhere.

Maybe they were outliers but I've seen OBrien boss Diaz twice and Diaz boss Walker a few times

Nothing wrong with the defensive job Obrien did all season at RB. Just need a little more going forward from our full backs in terms of chance creation
Agree with that. Moyes identified our vulnerability on the right hand side and shored it up using O'Brien as a stop gap. Seems like he's good on the ball, but good on the ball in the way you want a centre back to be. He's never going to be bombing up the wing on the overlap and putting in crosses. That's why we need proper full backs. Walker is an upgrade on anyone we've had since peak Coleman. Yes he's lost a yard or two but that's from a high bar. Like most others I'd prefer a hungrier younger option but we are never going to fix everything in one window.

If he is on loan it means nobody will buy him and pay him his wages so he wont move, its then a loan with Man City paying some of his wages. Just depends on what we can negotiate then; see what the loan fee is if any and what we pay. Free ups funds for other positions for 12 months, sell Patterson and use those funds for a younger option that needs some time to develop for next year.

Well he won't be plop for England if he joins Everton because that will mean the end of his England career.

Think this would be a massive error. He looked totally done for Man. City last season. Just last week he was incredibly slow to react to one of the Senegal goals.

Would be a very expensive backup so I think he'd be playing most weeks.

RB has been a comical position in last five years. Even last summer I reckon if finances had allowed Dyche would've been up for getting Trippier in who's mid 30s!

Sign someone decent in their 20s, it can't be impossible.

Is Coufal OOC? I would be o.k with him coming in for a season or two if Moyes is looking for experienced head for a season or two while sorting out other positions.

He's not amazing but knows Moyes's methods and can overlap and get crosses in competently.

Can see logic to testing the water on what Jack Grealish and Man. City are thinking but don't get the Walker move at all if he's been offered instead, think he's completely finished at prem level now.

I would like a "mute" feature for threads so I don't have to keep seeing this pop up. Kyle Walker is going to end up in Turkey, but his agents are doing their best to drum up interest to keep him in the Premier League. We're going to be surprised by who they sign because people like Fabrizio Romano won't have a clue.

Say if we were to sign Kyle Walker, who is to say that he will be on £200k per week? Just because he might well be earning that much at Man City doesn't mean he will be earning that amount with us. The most likely scenario would see him taking a considerably large pay cut.
