ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Christ he’s massively wrong about Nicol being better than Maldini, Paolo played international football up until 2002 and club football for another 7 years after that, even scoring against that lot in 2005 where as Nicol stopped playing at international level in 92, Premier League level in 98 and finished his career playing amateur football in the US in 2001

It's unfair on Steve Nicol who was a decent player. Paolo Maldini was the greatest defender of all time. His reading of the game, timing of tackles and effortless ball carrying and dribbling skills, his turn of pace, and his strength and determination. Just amazing. I didn't rate Tony Evans' opinions anyway as he is blinkered by his devotion to the cult, but this invalidates his credentials as a football journalist. You wouldn't find another football journalist in the world who would even put those 2 players in the same bracket.

But Tony seen them both mate, numerous times he said. Plus, he's spoken to other people who seen them both as well who agree with him so it must be true.

Tony elevates himself as the Guardiola of journalists, so who are we to argue?

What's that mate, oh he posted it at 2am in the morning? Yep, Tony must have been on the ale again.

Might have to move the nickname "Pissed Tony" from our former right back!
