Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

YouTube vids of players as you know are not a great sauce. Imagine one of Dom. It’d show great hold up play and some great goals. What it won’t show is him missing a million sitters. You say ooo he looks good, get him in. But if you watch a vid and they can’t impress on that then you know it’s a wrong un. Barry is that vid 😂

Lennon Miller. He's the player we need in the middle, its the connection on the ball he makes, the movement which is so fluid, despite not being rapid, the link up and creativity. He's a far better player than Lewis Ferguson was at an older age, when he moved to italy, who then went on to win seria a midfielder of the year at 24 last yesr, and won the italian Cup as club captain, at 25, for Bologna. Miller is better than him in every attribute.Almost guaranteed he'll go to Europe though.

Although, our manager is scottish and will have been told plenty. This kid is the real deal.
What you think the price would be for him if low could be worth the risk

Delap has only done it for one season and Barry is not worth the price tag quoted

Both would have represented risk
Not as much of a risk as a lad who has one season in the SPL and not scored very many. At least Delap and Barry have been tested in a higher league.

Igamane clearly has talent but, even with the lower price tag, he's a bigger risk than the other two, and certainly less exciting.

James McAtee is a must sign imo, lads from the City academy are basically guaranteed successes these days.
Southampton tried that approach when they lumped a load of dollar City’s way for Gavin Bazunu, Shea Charles & Lavia in the same window. Bazunu is cack, Charles is at Sheff Wed and Lavia made them decent money, but is made of paper mache, …..not to forget none of them contributed anything noteworthy while they were there and got relegated. No guaranteed successes, some players will simply look decent cos they play at City.

They made a massive profit on Lavia and will make a massive one on Charles soon enough, both are top quality. I think Southampton signed some great young players, the mistake was not balancing that potential out with some hard bitten experience elsewhere.

Bazunu, as with James Trafford at Burnley in his first season there, was not ready for the Prem. They needed to sign a Peter Reid for their Bracewells to flourish, an Andy Gray to make their Trevor Stevens shine, and we will need that balance too.

Sheer madness City selling McAtee. Any Premier League club should be all over that Unfortunately I think he'll end up at somebody currently far better than Everton.

Yarmolyuk at Brentford looks interesting.

Of course its just youtube but the way he has a 'picture' in his mind as soon as he gets the ball is very promising. He looks like he's able to pass the ball very quickly short/long as soon as he receives it.

The type of DM which would suit a counter attacking side and only 21.

McAtee, this Thierno Barry chap, Dewsbury-Hall on loan or Diomande at Rangers (hi, Davey!) on a permanent and that'd be a solid show of intent and forward-thinking. Pick up a specialist of choice in January....BAM. Onwards. Forgot we need a 'kin keeper too...ugh. Seimen, 19y/o 6' 4" keeper at Stuttgart....no idea his cost though but don't think it'd be crazy.

Some links to Ndidi. Apparently he has a release clause of £9m.

Would be a definite improvement on Iroegbunam in an area we need additional options, but he’s not a player that excites me much.
