It wouldn't have mattered who was in goal for England. Senegal were by far the better team. Its the out field who need looking at.
He would have been a good appointment him...worked his way through the u21s...managing an international team is not about personalities. This is not the same as non international football. Look at the Spanish manager...nobody knows him...but he worked with the youth team, won stuff with them and he is now managing the best football team in the world.
