I’ve no problem with anyone playing and if I was manager I’d have probably rotated Pickford for the reason you suggest .

However since the weekend we’ve had a slew of articles and comment pieces having a go at the keeper and talking up his rivals . Tonight we’ve had commentary suggesting he’s been No1 due to injuries and somehow Dixon talk up Henderson as a positive from tonight’s performance.

I’ve no issue with Pickford getting rotated out , I have got an issue with the apparent agenda against him in a fair bit of the media .

A lot of England fans like Pickford and know he is the best we have. The media have to have an agenda, Southgate got us to two finals with him as his no 1.
