No, the point people are making is about competence.

For you, it's about respect, and that's valid.
Most people defending their lack of visibility are more willing to accept it so long as they do a good job. They took quick action to steer us in a more positive direction, and this summer will be a bigger test of what's to come. If there's little to no progress in a year's time, then more people will question the lack of engagement and visibility.

If, however, they make solid decisions and invest in a forward-looking squad, then I suspect most people will accept their lack of visibility in trade.
Why cant they be both competent AND respectful?

This is a 147 year old institution and a pillar of the English game.

Who on earth do these people think they are that they buy the club 6 months ago and show no sign of visiting it?

Yes, but I wasn't suggesting otherwise and so it's a completely unnecessary point to make.
You haven't suggested otherwise, but there are plenty of people in this thread who think lack of visibility = bad ownership.
The examples of BK and FM are people countering that the Freidkins showing up wouldn't suddenly change them from bad owners to good owners.

I'm not saying they can't. I'd love both.
But an invisible owner who appears so far to be competent is better than one who loves the limelight but drives a club to extinction.

But i'm talking about a reply to my post, in which I made it clear that I wasn't saying that. So clearly not everybody is using it in the way you're suggesting.

Bill Kenwright was visible so was Moshiri but both were a disaster for the club.
The only reason Kenwright was so visible, was because the fat, bloated drama queen loved the attention he was getting from being in the spotlight.

And the only reason Moshiri was visible, was because Bill used to drag him to the games, and whatnot.

They haven't.

Do you think if they had it wouldn't have been reported on?
Not if they were intentionally travelling incognito, Dave… Which billionaires and celebrities pay handsomely to do quite regularly, and if done right and properly, we’d never ever know.

For all you know, Dan could have walked right past you on the street, and after accidentally bumping into to him, he called you a ‘knobhead’, but you were none the wiser, mate. 🤷

They haven't been here. It's a known-unknown.

Do they travel 'incognito' to Rome?

No excuses for them.
