Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

The free refills of tea or coffee as well is a good feature. That branch of it is always busy no matter what time you are in.

Anecdotally, years ago on a work breakfast, one of my colleagues found a live bullet under the table in Wetherspoons. This being Belfast I guess, as he handed it into the girl at the till she replied ‘thanks’ and set it aside 😀
I wouldn't describe myself as a fan of Weatherspoons but it is our go to place when me and a couple of Everton mates meet up.

To be honest it's their choice. I think there are much better pubs but it's undeniably cheap and clearly that is part of its winning formula .

If I'm being honest it pains me to put money into the pocket of the Brexit loving owner but c'est la vie.

I no longer own a Dyson vacuum cleaner for the same reason but I'm not stupid enough to cut off my nose to spite my face by not using one of their hand dryers if I'm out and about.

I'm sure that there are other products that I'm using inadvertently which I wouldn't if I knew , If you know what I mean.

Anyway good bonjour tout le monde.

I suspect that the weather will thwart my usual Saturday jaunt to the cricket as it's absolutely lashing down at present.

Good luck to Val's Garry for a full and complete recovery.

Did you enjoy the match yesterday @anjelikaferrett ? Looked bloody freezing on TV , perhaps your decision not to buy tickets was vindicated.

Yes the Trump / Musk spat was entertaining but that's about it . Sadly it won't cost any lasting damage to Trump unless Musk was able to hack the Epstein files and really does drop the bomb . However what was it Trump said..."I could shoot someone and people would still vote for me "? Truly he is Teflon Don.

Anyway whatever you have planned, have a lovely day everyone.

I’m pretty sure I read a few years ago @Ducans elbow going out on the piss one night , coming home , registering for GOT and waking up next morning to find he’d left a “ n” out , hence his name. Doesn’t bear thinking about really, in similar circumstances you could have ended up as “ Barfred” , which may not sound too bad on G&T Friday , but I’d sound like one of things they used to hang in toilets as “ Blueloo” 😳
I thought Fred had gone a bit Nottingham called him duc 😂

Good morning all on this cloudy day .I hope all had a good night particularly Pete and Garry and have a great day .This Ducan's elbow type or mistype ,I always thought that Ledley King must have had one parent with a lisp at least in the church at christening time -I have nothing better to do !
Have a great day all.COYB

I do hope that’s true it’s hilarious 😆

Morning all, well another day of hospital visiting for me as although the knee is progressing and the doc says from that point of view he could come home, unfortunately his bp is all over the place so he’s not fit to be discharged. He is however in a nice room on his own with a tv and en-suite and a lovely view over the countryside. All the nurses and physios think he’s lovely and come in for quick chats. I’m beginning to think he’s enjoying it really 😂.
For same reasons as @jazzy I don’t go into weatherspoons, but I think the one in Wigan is probably not one most would go to tbh. I’m sure they don’t miss my custom. That said, if I looked for ethical and political reasons not to buy stuff I’d probably have to throw away most of my possessions so I’m a bit of a hypocrite really and I would really like one of those Dyson hairdryers if I’m being honest.
Have a lovely Saturday everyone 💙

I thought it was a good match. Good to watch. The West Indies have been my favourite cricket team since the days of Clive Lloyd and it makes me sad how rubbish they are now. I can vouch for how cold it was here yesterday evening- not beautiful summer T20 weather!
As for Wetherspoons Im not a massive fan either and for the same reasons but, having thought about it, some of the menu choices are heaven for a 9 year old!

Good morning all. I hope Gary's blood pressure sorts itself out @Val P . Chris had to go for blood tests on Thursday ahead of his next treatment on Monday. He and Sophie have just come back from 2 weeks all inclusive in Crete - a delayed honeymoon/ first wedding anniversary holiday. He has been called back to repeat some of the tests - his liver results were 'out of line'. Hmm he said, I think I went too hard on the all inclusive. Given that he hasn't drank at all for over a year, I am not worrying about this and hope that the liver gets itself back into line after a few days rest!
Good luck with the march @Armaghtoffee.
Im home alone today - Mr F is working and then going to see his friend. So for me, it's swimming, shopping and not much else!
We've got Frankie tomorrow while Charlotte and her partner take his son back to Leeds.
Have a lovely Saturday - I'm missing Everton already🤣

I bought Charlotte one of those Dyson hairdryers for her 21st - almost seven years ago. It's still going strong and still one of her favourite things. They are amazing.

Afternoon everyone, off to my friend’s pre-birthday garden party later. The weather is quite good at the moment so hoping it holds but the forecast isn’t great.
Good luck on the march @Armaghtoffee. I went to an exhibition at Peterborough Museum last year, celebrating the history and culture of the Palestinian people which was fascinating. There was also a display of poems by the schoolchildren of Gaza, some of whom are no longer with us, absolutely heartbreaking.
@Val P hope Garry’s blood pressure has stabilised and he will soon be home.
@anjelikaferrett ,hope that Chris’s liver settles down. The change of water, diet etc. has an effect so hope it will stabilise now he is home.
I’m off to put on my party frock and wellies. Enjoy the rest of your day, all.💙

Love Chappell but last single was nodding at C&W. Still liked it though.
CMAT set. Sound quality good apart from volume. The set was TLDP quality AT and I can't pay it a higher compliment. It's actually the same stage the girls played last year and the crowd may even be a little bit bigger. And the single entered the UK charts today too. Made up for her.

PS. Good luck on your walk today mate.

Hi folks. I'm still hopeful that my favourite centre forward will stay. Ive recently been stalking his wedding pics on Instagram. He looked lovely.
I'm actually a bit surprised that Ange got the sack. I thought that delivering a much needed trophy would have bought him some time.
We have just got back in - as predicted, we ended up in The Restaurant aka Wetherspoons🤣. That boy is a cheap date! He's a very quiet lad, but seems to be opening up to us. He is also very interested in Frankie and I could see him looking very proud when I said something about being Frankie's big brother. A good time was had by all.
Enjoy your evening everyone - Mr F has nodded off so Im going to watch the T20 from Durham x

The spurs sacking is probably due to money. There’s about a £30M difference between where they finished and where they would normally finish…….
