100 million is nothing really when it buys you a half decent striker and some youth.

I highly doubt he got any of his first choice targets especially with how tight fisted Levy is.

Yeah, sure, but it's still his own team that finished 5th the year before like. In that context - youth and Solanke for 80-100m should be enough to at least be mid table, but no one's hit any kind of consistent form and it was suicide ball all year, which is 99.9% down to the manager in these cases.

They'll need to invest a bit again due to ageing squad, etc., but on paper it's a good enough squad to get more than 39 points whichever way you look at it, but they've collapsed time and again.

Big Jake very good in late sub appearance in Dublin. Carried the ball out of defence with confidence at one point, have not seen that part of his game before.

Enjoyable friendly that between Ireland and Senegal, finished 1-1 which was probably a fair result. Ndiaye and Jake O'Brien both got a run out and both played well, Jake only played about 30 mins or so.

Slightly understrength Senegal perhaps but still a strong side.
