That`s one way to look at it, they other is that they sacked him for finishing on less than 40 points in 17th position and very lucky that there were 3 teams that were well out of their depth.
I`m sorry to see him go because if they hire the right guy they`ll be a lot more competitive next season.

The board admit they agreed to prioritize Europe, which he won, but then still digs him out over the league performance and sack him.

I hope they take that trophy back off of you as you don't deserve it when you sack the man who got you there. Shame.
