Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

@Val P I got my knee replacement 7 yrs ago, never regretted it -he will be fine, he has to do the physio afterwards, I’m awaiting a new hip they are saying Sep/Oct all down to Osteoarthritis but it’s one of the downsides of getting old but onwards and upwards
That’s good to hear and I hope your hip op goes just as well as your knee. My new nickname is the camp commandant as I’ve been making sure he’s done his pre op excercises and I will be equally vigilant when he gets home 😂

Morning everyone, thanks for your good wishes for Garry. He had his Op yesterday afternoon and has been in overnight - a decision to discharge will be made today but I’m not convinced he will be as his bp is up. He was in the extra care unit overnight and they’re moving him to a ward this morning.
I might have said I used to work there 40 years ago and my how things have changed! He had a spinal anaesthetic and he was actually messaging me from the operating table! I couldn’t believe it. @jazzy will understand this but because of his past medical history the pharmacist has come to him and asked if she can use him as a case study as neither her or her colleagues have come across the things he’s had in the past 15 years so he’s feeling a bit special 😂.
So last night I had the cuddle chair and the tv remote all to myself and watched a corny film called Mrs Harris goes to Paris. Don’t bother watching it but I loved it personally.
Anyway I’ll have to get back to my social secretary duties as I’ve got lots of messages to reply to updating people which is lovely but he can do his own now .
Have a great Friday everyone 💙

So pleased his op was successful- I hope he gets out today.

Good morning all. I hope you are all having a nice Friday. It is still very chilly in the north east, 9° this morning - that is not June weather. Not much planned today other than going out for tea. Charlotte's partner has a 9 year old son from a previous marriage. He lives in Leeds but has been up here for half term. We don't see him often but I try to make him feel welcome and, as Charlotte's partner is now part of our family, his son should be included too. I feel like this is especially important since Frankie arrived. So, we are off out for tea with them. No idea where we are going. The little lad is very taken by Wetherspoons though - the restaurant as he calls it. We could end up there!🤣🤣

I know I shouldn’t but I am quite partial to a Wetherspoons. Have a good time at the restaurant.

So happy for Garry ,they will sort the BP out .Yes things move on at a pace we have never seen before . One of our friends had a hip replacement and was wide awake all through !!!! She heard the saw , the hammer and chisel ,for a joiner that would be hell . Wish Garry well from us all please .

On a personal note My son has been doing well with his latest game for some AI company so good they asked him about another project that involves Lewis Hamilton which the company paid a billion for ! No wonder they are happy paying him comparative buttons .The guy he is in contact with really liked his mock up second game so much he couldn't stop playing it .It eases my mind so much . Sadly my SIL is visiting a care home on Monday as she was found with the keys to a car outside by my BIL . COYB
