2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I've said it loads, but I'll just reiterate - his single biggest issue for me is his fitness.

Without his crippling injury record I would've been all for him staying on, but we need to stop carrying players who aren't available for a lot of the season..
His injuries are a big concern - like you I supported his all round play - but he just can't score even an easy chance like in the last game he did the hard work with skil then shot straight at the keeper even the rebound he rushed it & blasted over the bar - to me he will be better moving on where he may flourish ?

For me though part of that comes from the fact that he's rarely been actually fully fit for years now and it's affecting his performances. He's in and out of the side far too much to even have the opportunity to get back to a level he once was..

Think we just need to give up with him at this point tbh.

That's a Bolton fan that tweeted it in fairness. Not saying our fans don't hammer him for it and aren't guilty of it but it's an overused joke by football fans at large
This thread is littered with similar “jokes”.

It’s definitely a wider footballing issue in general, certainly in this country.

Why we have far right groups like “football lads alliance”. And why we won’t be seeing a top flight footballer coming out any time soon.

It’s all a bit detestable tbh.
