I’m starting to tire of this recent run of weather. Heavy rain during the day, cold winds in the evening but yet little spells of blazing sunshine during the day that actually burnt me. It’s like Mother Nature just can’t decide what season she wants it to be.

Evening all, back to normality after my weekend of birthday celebrations. Spent the day doing housework to make sure everywhere important is clean for when G returns from his knee op on Thursday. So far it’s looking like they might do it as a day case but we’ll have to see. Feeling nervous as he doesn’t do straightforward but .
Reading @anjelikaferrett post made me smile. For some reason our granddaughter gets all excited when Pink Pony Club comes on the radio, so we sing it to her as it’s such a cute thing to see. I didn’t realise it’s about an exotic dancer so not sure it’s entirely appropriate for a nine month old but it’s hilarious to see 31 and 67 year old men dancing round and singing it to her.

Just back from watching T20 cricket match tonight it was absolutely bloody freezing and I had a t shirt , shirt , sweatshirt and jacket on!

A blind man could see it is taking it's toll on you Pete .You need more help or a break .Have they not offered such ? One of the saddest things in old age is watching a sick person take others down with them .
I had a handicapped BIL and he took my marriage and two of his sisters to breaking point , his mother died after a stroke .Given hours to live at 13 he lived until 54 with love and attention but at a great cost to others . How is your son facing up to the task surely it is affecting him seeing you like this or do you hide it from him ?
Get a bag and put your pride at the bottom of it put your sensible head on top then go sort it out with the doctors/helpers or whoever it needs to be .

Thanks @blue1948, been awake since 4.30 and just waiting for our son to take us. We are definitely keeping everything crossed for a positive outcome and statistics tell us we are right to feel that way. Still nervous though.

It’s nearly 7o’clock so you have more important things to worry about than reading this. We saw a neighbour of ours the other day who was on his way to the clinic for a 6week checkup on his knee replacement. He said it was one of the best things he’d ever done and can’t wait to have his other knee done. Be thinking of you both..

Flaming June eh? Jess was due to be in a country dance festival this evening, it’s been postponed until next week in the hope that the weather improves, forecast doesn’t look good though.

That’s very reassuring thank you. They sent me packing as soon as I dropped him off so I was back home for ten past ! Going to have a snooze now. I can’t contact the ward until after 3.30 x
