Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

we’re getting told we can’t and we can etc

( the amount )

some saying TFG wanna make a statement
we’re hampered by PSR

i think it’s a bit of all three but we won’t
know till we’re spending

we will spend more then we have for sure!!!
We aren’t hampered by PSR. Yes we may have to do a little bit in the next month. But we can spend I have no doubt and we all know that transfers can be spread over contracts, so that helps us a lot imo

Anyone else listen to that media Q&A thing Bobble did where he was talking about what we're doing with getting in a new no.9?

Some worrying things there - we don't believe we can attract a good quality no 9, Moyes really wants Calvert-Lewin to stay, Moyes is unsure on Beto, if Calvert-Lewin stays he will be our first choice with Beto scrapping it out with him, if we get a decent offer for Beto, he would be sold.

It's all so grim. What planet is Moyes on when it comes to strikers?! If we don't believe we can get a striker who can do much better than scrape double figures, why look to shift the one who can and keep the one who misses every one on one he gets?!

Actually wouldn't go into that much detail about it normally, but that thinking really worries me and plays into my long-gestating fear of Moyes and forwards!
Yes I listened to it, he said he may try and loan a striker if we maybe we can’t get one we want. We put our hat into the ring for Delap, so we could be spending 30mil on him, if he’d agreed to join us. We have a lot to do, so we probably have permanent signings for every position, maybe a 1st 2nd abd 3rd. And we probably have loans and free’s also for every position.

It will just be how we get on getting are main targets and going from there

I wouldn’t worry about anything that said at the moment - smoke and mirrors. He’s hardly likely to say he us desperate for a striker and going all out to get one no matter the cost

So Moyes started Beto even when CL was fit…complimentary of Beto and mentioned his all round game had improved. Yet according to this Moyes is unsure on the 10 goals in half a season Beto.

Not sure about that.

I get what you’re saying, and would absolutely buy a striker if it was up to me, but Moyes’ best teams have never been built around having a 20 goal up top. Can see how in his, with us having so much to do, it’s not something we should be dropping 40m+ on

Maybe you should stop listening to the Bobble’s podcasts mate, it clearly doesn’t do you any favours.
