2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

Worried that I'll immediately be had off but I think he's staying here until he's walking into an elite club like City, Barca or Madrid as a starter.
I feel this too. Don't think any other club outside of those sides would be enticing enough for him and I don't think the likes of Chelsea, United, Spurs et al would be willing to part with £80-90+ million for him..

Chelsea could be, but they're at least a couple of years away. Had we still been in the mire with PSR, the club's existence hanging in the balance, ownership chaos... then Man U and Spurs would have been able to pry him away. But thankfully, all that shte is behind us now.

….i know he’s injured but good to see him not in England U21 squad for this summers tournament.
On one hand it's nice to get him back and for him to have a proper preseason with us but on the other it would have been nice to see him step up and be the main man in a tournament.

For me. He does not need a new contract unless we are going to sell him soon ish (To get more money). As he has 2 years plus a year's option left. I never get the fascination of giving new contracts to players who have many years left, myself.

Maybe THE biggest generational talent we have ever had in terms of potential. If he can avoid the injury bug for the majority of his career, the sky is the limit.

If he starts sitting out games because of "mysterious illness" then we would be saying otherwise. You try to nip this in the bud now. You do need to keep players happy at the end of the day and if he deserves more he will get it from here or elsewhere
